Pick up of the rug or Self-Delivery:

  • We can roll and pick your rugs up within your home or you can deliver your rug to our cleaning facility.

Complete Rug Inspection and Identification:

  • Each of your rugs will be completely inspected to identify the proper cleaning process and proper product to use.
  • We also inspect each rug for problems such as permanent stains, pet urine contamination,  fibre damage, shrinkage, dye migration, etc.     This information will be shared with you prior to cleaning to provide you with a reasonable expectation of how we can clean your rug.

Rug Dusting / Vacuuming:

  • After inspection your rug is then vacuumed and dusted rigourously to collect as much dry soiling hidden within the rug as possible. Certain rugs can hold up to one pound of dirt per square foot before it will "look" dirty, so getting this soil out of the rug while it's dry is very important.
  • We do this by vacuuming each rug first on its backing with an industrial power head vacuum to loosen any soils hidden deep within the rug pile. Then we flip the rug and give it another thorough vacuum to pick up the majority of dry soil.

Pre-Treatment and Stain Treatment:

  • Depending on the type of rug and fibre type, the proper solution will be applied to the rug and lightly aggitated into the fibres.
  • Cleanable stains will be treated with the apprpriate product to break it down for extraction.

Extraction:

  • Our industrial extraction machine will use properly pressurized water and suction to extract the soiling, our pre-treatment and stain treatment solutions.
  • If your rug has fringes, they will also be extracted.

Drying:

  • Your rug will then be dried flat on our floor mats and we use high flow air movers to circulate air and dry your rug as quickly as possible.
  • Once your rug is nearly dry, we transfer it to our drying racks to complete the drying process and final inspection.

Final Vacuum and Inspection:

  • Your rug is vacuumed on both sides one last time to collect any residual dry particulate, as well as give the rug a soft finish.
  • Before it's rolled up we give the rug one more inspection. If all is well we roll it up and wait for your arrival or delivery!
